    The province has lifted its province wide fire ban. Yellowhead County will issue burn permits for the Yellowhead County Fire Protection Area. Issuance of Fire Permits will resume during normal office hours. Campground fires are permitted.

    OHV restrictions will no longer be in effect for much of the province. They will remain in effect for the Lac La Biche and Fort McMurray Forest Areas of northeastern Alberta, however. www.alberta.ca/emergency

    County property owners' Combined Assessment & Tax Notices have been mailed. Payment is due by June 30, 2016. Payments must be postmarked on/or before June 30, 2016. A penalty will be applied to all 2016 tax levies that are outstanding after the due date.

    Roadside Vegetation Management Program

    Yellowhead County Agriculture Department will be spraying roadsides until mid/late September. Spot herbicide applications and other integrated management practices will be used throughout the County to control weeds and brush species.
