Snow Removal Policy

The goal of Yellowhead County is to clear snow from all roadways within four to five days after the end of a snowfall. The removal of snow from approaches, and parking lots in Community Halls and Fire Halls, will not be done until roadways have been cleared.

Clearing of snow from County Roadways will take place in this priority:

• Plow School Bus routes
• Plow Fire Halls and roads in the hamlets
• Plow Fire Department water pick up points
• Plow other local and forest roads
• Plow approaches to private driveways
• Plow Community Hall approaches and parking areas and Firehall parking areas

Locations where the County will not do snow removal are:

• Private Driveways
• Schools
• Skating Rinks
