The Administration and Community
Development Program

The Administration and Community Development Program has two main focuses. One is an internal function that provides the Board with technical advice, research information and administrative support to carry out the Boards goals and objectives. The other focus is to provide volunteer board support and community development initiatives to the community at large.

In this role the program provides:

Volunteer Board Support
A registry of all community groups in the County.
Board development workshops to existing community boards.
Assistance with budgeting, grant applications, goal setting, etc. to community boards.
Technical support and assistance to groups or individuals developing programs or services to people.
Information and support for volunteer recognition and training opportunities.
Liaison with provincial and regional agencies providing social, recreational and health service
Facilitation of community input into Services to Children and Families.
Committee involvement with Capital and Aspen Health Authorities.
Assistance in development and maintenance of new services in Yellowhead County
Successful Kids and Families - provides parent support and child enrichment programs.

Youth in Action Society - program for youth
