Vegetation Management Technician (Herbicide Applicator)

Agricultural Services Department
The Vegetation Management Technician is responsible for the application of pesticides on County owned lands.  This seasonal position will begin on May 1, 2018 and will conclude on August 31, 2018. This position will include 40 hours of work per week and may be structured as a compressed work week with potential weekend overlap (i.e. four 10 hour workdays either during Monday to Friday, or midweek through weekend). The wage scale is $22.88 to $24.90/hour.

Agricultural Services Department
The Weed Inspector is responsible for performing weed inspections on private and public land in accordance with the Weed Control Act and municipal policy.  This seasonal position will begin on May 1, 2018 and will conclude on August 31, 2018. This position will include 40 hours of work per week and may be structured as a compressed work week with potential weekend overlap (i.e. four 10 hour workdays either during Monday to Friday, or midweek through weekend). The wage scale is $19.56 to $21.30/hour.

Agricultural Services Department
The Agricultural Labourer is responsible in assisting the Conservation and Vegetation Management Technician and seasonal staff in weed control, conservation and rental equipment programs as well as shop maintenance. This seasonal position will begin on May 1, 2018 and will conclude on August 31, 2018. This position will include 40 hours of work per week and may be structured as a compressed work week with potential weekend overlap (i.e. four 10 hour workdays either during Monday to Friday, or midweek through weekend). The wage scale is $19.56 to $21.30/hour.

Job Summary 


Senior and Junior Lifegaurd 

Parks & Recreation Department
The Senior and Junior Lifegaurd will provide swimming instruction, lifeguard, pool maintenance and other administrative duties. This seasonal position will begin on May 1, 2018 and will conclude on August 31, 2018. The wage scale is $19.56-21.30/hour for Junior Guards and $22.87-$24.90 for Senior Guards. Working flexible hours (including weekends) will be required.

The wage scale is $19.56 to $21.30/hour.

Community Peace Officer Level 1 - Yellowhead County Protective Services

Reporting to the Peace Officer Sergeant, the Community Peace Officer is responsible for enforcement of all applicable Yellowhead County Bylaws, including unsightly premises, land use enforcement, and animal control. The incumbent is also responsible for enforcing applicable Provincial Statutes for which the officer is appointed. The salary range is currently $72,440 to $91,709 per year.
