Road Construction Starts
On Peers Connector Road & Grande Prairie Trail
Scheduled to start July 24, 2012 on Peers Connector (Twp Rd. 542) and Aug. 15, 2012 on Grande Prairie Trail (Twp Rd. 540)
Construction Beginning On Grande Prairie Trail (Twp. Rd. 540)
Construction is scheduled to commence on August 15, 2012 and be completed by the fall of 2012 for the Granular Base Course and Asphalt. The project will cover the section of Township Road 540 between the Trail Hall (Rge. Road 180) and future Highway 947 (currently Rge. Rd. 183).
Reconstruction Beginning On Peers Connector Road (Twp. Rd. 542)
Reconstruction is scheduled to commence on July 24, 2012. The project will cover the section of Township Road 542 between Highway 32 and Range Road 154.
Yellowhead County Infrastructure Services has constructed a tentative timeline in which the reconstruction portion of this project will be completed this year.
Tenders for these contracts were awarded by Yellowhead County Council at a Special Meeting on July 17, 2012.
These road have been identified as a main transportation route for Yellowhead County residents, and have been given priority in the County’s long-term Road Improvement Master Plan. Go to www.yellowheadcounty.ab.ca/roads for more information on Yellowhead County Road Priorities.
