Provincial & Private

Yellowhead County is chock full of provincial and private campgrounds. There are campgrounds on lakes, in deep river gorges and in the mountainous back country.

Provincial Parks can be found from the east end of Yellowhead County to the west end. Two of the most popular are Pembina River Provincial Park and William Switzer Provincial Park.

Private campgrounds abound, and new ones are opening every year. The Edson area has 16 campgrounds to chose from.

In the Hinton area the number is almost unlimited given the access to the backcountry and the campsites run by the Hinton Forest Management Area.
